And not the good kind
The other day mid-day we obtained notice the neighborhood simply south of us got on a lock down. An armed suspect got on the loose and every person was advised to stay inside and lock their doors. Obviously two next-door neighbors were involved in a building limit conflict that intensified when one next-door neighbor opened fire on 5 people. Currently two males, one lady are dead, one woman remains in vital condition and the 5th person got away unhurt. This took place in a heavily wooded area making it difficult to find the suspect who is now on the run. Very little details has existed by the sheriff’s division or local information.
We live in an attractive, sparsely booming Colorado mountain valley. It is typically pretty silent out right here and the area is thought about safe. Our residence is in Fremont Area, 3 miles north of the Custer Area Line where the occurrence happened. The town of Westcliffe is 12 miles southeast people in Custer Region. Many of our good friends reside in the 20 -mile distance that goes across both Custer and Fremont Counties.
Westcliffe has the closest grocery, hardware store, and numerous various other amenities we regular. The community is popular for its Dark Sky policy, countless 14 emergency room’ hills, hiking and searching; a preferred tourist area. Like numerous others, we enjoy the gorgeous landscape and silent around. We retired below 4 + years back and would be staying if not for a wellness problem requiring us to relocate to a reduced altitude.
